InTouch & Motion is a growing multi-lingual creative-arts therapies practice in the Old Irving Park and Ravenswood neighborhoods of Chicago. InTouch & Motion offers a wide range of psychotherapy, creative arts therapies, and creative wellness services, and was established to encourage creative exploration and celebration of Self as a means to create movement and growth for ourselves, our clients, and our community.

You are a creative arts or expressive arts therapist looking for a long-term career in a place where you can be yourself, play with ideas, and connect with your ideal clients that experience the world from a creative or mind-body lens. The Position

Job Title: Creative Arts Therapist
Reports to: Clinical Supervisor
Location: Chicago, IL or Remote
Hours: Part-time to Full-time
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Supervisory Responsibility: None
Start Date: Immediate

The Creative Arts Therapist is an integral member of a collaborative team of therapists dedicated to guiding clients in growth and healing through trauma-informed counseling and creative arts modalities. The creative arts therapist has the opportunity to work with a wide range of diverse populations through counseling services for individual adults, couples, children, and families, and group therapy services.

This is a part-time to a full-time position, with a minimum commitment of 15 direct service hours per week for in-person therapy at our Chicago Old Irving Park location, Ravenswood location, and/or teletherapy. Candidates with a desire for full-time employment with a minimum of 25 direct service hours per week are encouraged to apply.

 

Required Qualifications:
  • Must have a Master’s degree in counseling or related mental health field
  • Must be Registered or Board Certified in one of the Creative Arts Therapies (music therapy, drama therapy, poetry therapy, art therapy, or dance/movement therapy) or a Registered Expressive Arts Therapist
  • LPC/LCPC, LSW/LCSW, PsyD, or license eligible in Illinois; Fully licensed LCPC/LCSW preferred
  • Two years + post-graduate work in the field
  • Comfortable and familiar with working with diverse populations
  • Available at least 3 weekday evenings
