Trauma has lasting effects that can impact us at varying stages in our lives. When living in a current world full of stress, isolation, and uncertainty, past traumas may try to take ownership of our minds or bodies to influence our experience of the present moment.
In this creative exploratory workshop, we will bridge the gap between past and present, identifying, and redefining patterns. Through the use of Erasure, a redaction of text, and guided movement reflections, we will examine new meanings and insights. We will set intentions for taking care of ourselves in our current experiences.
Please bring 1 to 2 pieces of text. Ideally, this text will be handwritten from your daily life before going into quarantine (such as a grocery list, to-do list, copy of a journal entry).
Please wear something you feel comfortable in.
