I am a Dance/Movement Therapist and Licensed Professional Counselor who incorporates a mind-body-spirit approach with healing meditations, Hypnotherapy and Past-Life Regression work. I believe that there are many pathways and levels to healing, and I enjoy adapting my approach to the needs of each individual. I can assist you in tapping into your creativity and intuition as a means to discover the wisdom held within yourself. As a witness to your journey, I reflect back continually in order to facilitate clarity, insight and greater awareness. I have an eclectic approach, drawing from Jungian, Holistic, Humanistic and Developmental frameworks. I am drawn to detecting core beliefs, life-scripts, metaphors and images in order to identify patterns that both serve and block you in being your greatest Self. We work creatively together to remove the blocks that prevent you from moving forward.
I obtained a BA in Psychology with a minor in Dance from Saint Mary’s College, IN in 1999 and was involved in Liturgical Dancing. I received a MA from Columbia College in 2004 in Dance/movement Therapy, and enjoy taking dance classes and doing choreography. I have worked in many settings including psychiatric hospitals, residential facilities for troubled youth, halfway houses for disabled adults, and recovery centers for those struggling with addiction. I have also applied my creative skills with pregnant women, children, local parishioners, and the elderly. I continue to witness the power of moving with others, and the benefits of facilitating trust in the body.
Just as movement can tap into the flow of the creative process, meditation, past-life regressions, and hypnotherapy can tap into the creative wisdom deep within. It is important to me to help others access their own internal wisdom and to strengthen that connection. Many times our behavior and reactions are influenced by the messages, experiences, and beliefs imprinted into our minds long ago. Through past-life regressions and hypnotherapy, clients can excavate the unserving patterns so that they can re-shape it into healthier ones. Spirituality is also important to me to incorporate into the healing process. Many times clients can access guidance from beyond through guided meditations, past-life regressions and hypnotherapy. I’m happy to use these tools with you in your process if interested. I’m fortunate to have trained with Brian Weiss, Susan Wisehart, and The Wellness Institute.
