I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and registered Dance/Movement Therapist. As a young person I experienced the connection between health and creative expression and this is what drew me to Dance/Movement Therapy. I highly value individuality and creativity and encourage my clients to tap into different modes of self-expression in order to support their wellness.
My Bachelor’s degree is in Psychology and my Master’s degree is in Dance/Movement Therapy and Counseling. I have continued my dance training in flamenco, modern, ballet styles and enjoy incorporating elements of these art forms into my therapy sessions when possible.
Over the past ten years I have worked in a variety of settings with both individual clients and groups. Through these experiences I have facilitated therapy for individuals from age 3 to 99 years old and have worked with clients from many backgrounds, including individuals living with dementia and Parkinson’s disease, those on the autism spectrum, people navigating depression and anxiety and individuals interested in increasing their creative expression and self-awareness.
My approach to therapy is holistic and person-centered. As I mentioned before, I highly value the creative process and self expression and am interested in working with individuals who are looking to heal, grow and develop deeper self-awareness.
